Pferd & Jags celebrates successful comeback
After the Pferd & Jagd had to be cancelled two years in a row due to a pandemic, it resumed and continued its successful ride in 2022. In total, well over 70,000 people visited the four-day showcase of the hunting and equestrian industry to find out about the latest products and trends from more than 550 exhibitors and, above all, to make purchases.

According to a representative survey by Dortmund-based market research institute Gelszus, exactly 89 percent of visitors bought or ordered something, as in 2019, spending an average of 457 euros (2019: 316 euros). Klaudia Kohl, Head of Consumer Fairs at Deutsche Messe AG: "This shows how much people were looking forward to Pferd & Jagd. And that it was the right decision to hold the fair. Even if we had slightly fewer exhibitors due to the general situation. We are sure that this year's success of Pferd & Jagd will convince exhibitors who held back this year to participate again and that the show will continue to grow."
For most exhibitors, this year's event was indeed a great success.
Werner Becker of Becker Jagdkleidung said, "We have been at Pferd & Jagd for 30 years - and this year's result was also extremely satisfactory. We did a very good business, moreover, the infrastructure in Hannover is excellent, as is the support. We will expand again next year."
Philipp Bücker, Bücker Trailer: "We are very satisfied with the fair. Pferd & Jagd is our favorite trade fair and guarantees good Christmas business. Visitors come to our stand quite specifically, and indeed our most expensive trailers were again the first to go. We are very happy to have trade shows again."
Hesham Khalifa, Blaser Jagdwaffen: "We had expected fewer visitors and are positively surprised. And we have been from the very first day. Customers are downright hungry after the long break."
Marco Voges, Area Manager Böckmann Horse Trailers: "We are very satisfied despite the current tense period. We have reached important customers. Pferd & Jagd is our most important trade fair of the year."
Petra Dieckmann, owner of Spooks clothing: "We are super satisfied, the visitors were in an absolute buying mood and were happy to be able to spend money again after the Corona break."
Positive feedback also from visitors to this year's event. According to market research institute Gelszus, 91 percent said they would visit the show again next year, 86 percent said they were satisfied with Pferd & Jagd, and 89 percent said they would recommend it to others.
The Pferd & Jagd - much more than a mere product show. The fair again offered associations and clubs the opportunity to present their work and projects to a large audience. Among other things the national hunter shank Lower Saxony was with it, likewise the federation of the hunt use dogs as well as the horse haven federation Hanover and the horse country Lower Saxony GmbH. Their managing director Alexandra Duesmann knows of the importance of the horse & hunt for the horse country Lower Saxony: ?The people consumed themselves downright after the fair, the pent-up demand was enormous. Our stand was extremely well received, indeed downright besieged. The fair is so important for Lower Saxony and beyond, because it represents the entire topic of horses - in all its facets."
This also applies to the horse show. For two evenings, the gala "Night of the Horses" captivated the visitors and thrilled the audience from the very first minute with international riding stars such as Gilles Fortier, Alizée Froment or Anna Blomgren. The visitors of the horse-children-pony show MiMaMo on Saturday and Sunday were just as enthusiastic. Pferd & Jagd project manager Sandra Busse: "MiMaMo is the absolute highlight in the run-up to Christmas. It's always great to see how enthusiastic the children are, how attentive and happy they are watching the action in the arena." In total, more than 9000 fans came to the shows.
The next Pferd & Jagd will take place from December 7 to 10, 2023.
