The horse section of the popular trade fair is aimed primarily at leisure riders, horse fans, stable facility owners, breeders and trainers. Numerous exhibitors present their offerings in 5 exhibition halls, plus the large Horse & Hunting Arena as the venue for, among other things, exciting tournament sports, fast-paced cups as well as the "Night of the Horses" and the horse-children-pony show "MiMaMo".
The areas of equine health, husbandry, feeding, training, transport, pasture care, horse health and farm management are all to be found in Hall 19/20, which is thus the perfect place to go when it comes to investment goods. Here visitors will find stable and feeding equipment, horse transporters, fencing systems and much more.
In addition, visitors can acquire concentrated specialist knowledge here. Among other things in the CAVALLO ring. There, the main focus is on horse-friendly training. Renowned speakers will provide insights into their training methods, including horsemanship, equikinetic, western dressage and rhythm games. Other highlights in the hall include the Horse & Hunting EquiVITAL Forum, where questions about well-being and health in horses and riders will be answered.
Also on hand will be renowned veterinarian Dr. Helmut Ende. Ende has been involved for three decades in using the freeze-drying process to make horse body parts presentable and durable, revealing to the interested public errors in keeping, feeding and handling horses.
Also to be found in Halls 19/20 is the Hoof Village - in keeping with the time-honored adage "no hoof, no horse", this is all about the mobility of the horse. The program includes daily demonstrations and show forging.
Not only is the information and entertainment program unique at Pferd & Jagd, but the exhibitors' product range is also second to none. Riders will find everything they need for riding and working with horses in Halls 22 and 23: Snaffles, curb bridles, lunging belts, accessories, stirrup leathers, saddle pads, bandages, gaiters, halters, ropes, safety vests, riding helmets, boots, gloves, pads and girths, stirrups, as well as a large selection of saddles - whether Western saddles, short saddles for Icelandic horses, as well as Italian made-to-measure saddles - you can't get more choice.
Hall 24 is home to Country, a themed world for the finer things in equestrian sports. Here, visitors will find high-quality country-style clothing, luxury saddles and fine accessories. Also represented in the Country is the Hanover Equestrian Sports Association (PSV), which will provide information about the many different opportunities in equestrian sports. In the Country theme world, visitors will also find a large number of caterers who will spoil visitors with national and international specialties.
However, Pferd & Jagd is also the venue for first-class tournament sport and fast-paced cups in the large Pferd & Jagd Arena. For years, they have been an important part of what makes the fair so successful. Here, visitors can experience equestrian sport up close in competition. Among other things, the Hanover Equestrian Sports Association will be presenting an impressive cross-section of the performance spectrum of young riders in various equestrian disciplines.
Among the absolute fair highlights belong also in this year the shows of the horse & hunt: The evening gala night of the horses on 9 and 10 December belongs with its special horses and show pictures to one of the most beautiful horse gala in Europe and attracted in the past thousands of fans magically.
Under the motto Amaze, Laugh, Dream, the popular family show MiMaMo will take place for the 10th time on December 10 and 11. Young talents, newcomers as well as stars of tomorrow will present great show pictures and provide a colorful family show with lots of surprises from the big world of ponies and horses!
